Pretty Colors!

They're o so pretty, you can't deny it. And they're in motion. What are they? 250,000 bouncy balls bouncing down a San Francisco street. Sony took on this endeavor to advertise their BRAVIA televisions though they don't tell you until the end of the commercial. The commercial is stunning and you can see it here. They have a gallery of 14 photos on their site. The commercial is astounding, the colors in motion, merging order and chaos, bounce and roll. It opens panning around the San Franciso skyline, then there are three, and then the swarm comes. The frog hopping out of the drain pipe is a nice touch.

In other news, I've just added "chao" to Merriam-Webster's Open Dictionary. Right now it is at the top as it was the most recently added, but once it gets covered with newer entries you'll have to search in the search box at the bottom of that page. Here's what the entry looks like, if you don't care to go there.

Search results for 'chao':

chao (noun) : simply the singular of chaos, one single unit of chaos. pronounced similar to "cow"
It used in this couplet: To diverse gods Do mortals bow; Holy Cow, and Wholly Chao. —Greg Hill and Kerry Thornley, Principia Discordia, 1965
